Film: "The Matrix"

This terrifyingly prescient cyber thriller (and 1999 blockbuster) stars Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne and Carrie Ann Moss.  In retrospect, this 1999 action thriller seems terrifyingly prescient, with its vision of a future where humankind is enslaved by an elaborate digital facade, while a malevolent cyber-intelligence dominates the "real" world. Whoa.
