Ledyard Canoe Club on the Connecticut River

Head down to the Ledyard Canoe Club, located past the boathouse and the swim docks on the Connecticut River Waterfront, and cruise through scenic splendor. Whether you're seeking high-energy kayaking down rapids, or a leisure afternoon paddling on the pristine water, visitors will enjoy water-centric recreation no matter what your skill level. Canoe, kayak, and paddle boards are available for rent. Guests of the Hanover Inn near Dartmouth College will enjoy catching paddle events including the thrilling Riverest featuring competitive racing.

Hours -

Summer rental hours are weekdays, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; weekends, 9 a.m to 8 p.m. Fall rental hours are weekdays, 12 noon to 6 p.m.; weekends, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Prices -

Rates are for 1 canoe or 2 kayaks. Hourly, $10; weekdays, $30; weekend day, $40; overnight, $10/night.

Events -

The Ledyard Canoe Club hosts the annual Riverfest in April. Don't miss one of the competitive and recreational paddling events throughout the year.

During the summer, the club switches to summer hours. Weekdays, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and weekends, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

What are the rental rates for canoes and kayaks?


In the summer, rates for one canoe or two kayaks is $10 an hour. Paddle boats can be rented at $15 an hour. A Ledyard membership lets members rent one canoe or two kayaks for free for 24-hours.
