Directions to the Hanover Inn at Dartmouth College

From I-89 South

  • Take exit 18 and make a right turn. Travel 5 miles on 120 N (following the signs to Hanover and Dartmouth College). At the intersection where the road forks, the Mobil gas station and the Food Coop are on your right, bear right (do not make a left at that light) and continue for another one-half mile.
  • Take a left turn at E. Wheelock—there is a stoplight and the tennis courts and athletic complex will be on your immediate left.
  • The Hanover Inn will be 2 blocks down on your left.

From I-89 North

  • Take Exit 18 and make a right turn. Travel 5 miles on 120N (following the signs to Hanover and Dartmouth College). From I-91

  • Take Exit 13 and follow the directions to Hanover, NH—not to Norwich, VT, which is in the opposite direction.
  • Travel just under 1 mile, crossing a bridge over the Connecticut River, into the town of Hanover.
  • At the first major intersection—the Dartmouth Green will be ahead on your left, stay in the middle lane at the stop light.
  • Once you cross the intersection, The Inn will be on your immediate right and The Dartmouth Green will be on your left.

The Inn is very accessible via free public transportation by Advance Transit.  Dartmouth Coach provides comfortable direct buses between the Inn and both Boston and New York City.  Greyhound buses running from Boston to Montreal (and many points in between) stop at the Inn, as well as buses running from Manchester Airport to Hanover.  The Greyhound bus station, the Amtrak train station, and the Lebanon airport are easily accessible by cab.  Once here, all of downtown Hanover and Dartmouth College are within a ten minute walk of the Inn, so guests are able to leave their cars at home.
