General Ebenezer Brewster, whose home occupied the present site of the Inn, founded the Dartmouth Hotel in 1780. Over the years, the original hotel underwent many changes, and had its name changed to The Hanover Inn in 1903. Today, our 108-room Inn is the oldest continuous business in the state of New Hampshire.
